Election of Okinawa Bar Association Chairman
On January 29, 2018, our senior attorney Tetsu Amakata was elected as a chairman of the Okinawa Bar Association (OBA) of 2018. At the same time, he takes office as a director of the Japan Federation of Bar Association (JFBA) and an executive director of Kyushu Federation of Bar Association(KYUBENREN). The term of service is 1year from 1st April of this year.
The Okinawa Bar Association currently has about 280 lawyers and deals with a wide range of fields such as human rights issue include military base problems, consumer issues, elderly/disabled peoples issues, suicide measures, law education, international exchange and so on. Beside taking leads of these associations, he has a task of obtaining latest topics from JFBA and KYUBENREN and imparting to Okinawa.
By doing these duties with integrity and sincerity, Amakata will develop as a lawyer and will continue to providing higher legal service throughout our office.
