I have practiced law in Hokkaido and Okinawa. I was born and grew up in Tokyo, but then moved to Hokkaido to live in a place surrounded by nature. Later, after the birth of my children, we moved to Okinawa to raise our children in the sunshine all year round.

Recently, I have developed an interest corporate governance (a system for a company to make transparent, fair, prompt, and decisive decisions based on the standpoints of shareholders, customers, employees, local communities, etc.) as an independent director, and in the execution of the company’s business as a generalist.

To listen, to empathize, and to be receptive are essential skills for an attorney. In addition to these skills, I believe that I am good at organizing, analyzing, and explaining what people have to say after actively and patiently listening to them. It took me longer than most people to become a lawyer, and I believe I can relate to the stories of those who are vulnerable or feel that things are not going the way they want them to.

To tell the truth, I sometimes dream of a peaceful and tranquil world where there is no more conflict, and everyone gets along with each other with smiles on their faces. If such a world were to become a reality, there would be no need to be a lawyer, but I would like to help everyone get closer to such a world (or I hope that I can assist you in bringing that world as close as possible).
